New Student IT Checklist

Below are the items you will want to complete or review before starting classes at Southeast Technical College:

Your STC account

• Your email address is typically in the format of firstname.lastname@southeasttech.edu but you'll want to review the email you received from support@southeasttech.edu that is titled "STC - Email, Mobile ID & myTech" that has your specific email and password.
• Your username is the first part of your email address without the "@southeasttech.edu"
• For access to Microsoft 365 resources, log in using your email address. For all other resources such as WiFi and myTech log in with your username.
• Your STC email is the primary way Southeast Tech will communicate with you and it's crucial to check your email daily to stay informed

• myTech student portal

☑ Setup your Mobile ID

• Submit a photo
• Set up your Mobile ID
• Add funds to your account

☑ Laptop Information

• Technology Requirements
• Reserve a laptop if in BYOL program and want to purchase from STC

☑ Install Software

• Install Microsoft Office
• Install myTech lockdown browser
• Install Omnissa Horizon client
• Install STC printers on BYOL computer (have to be on campus)
  • All printing information

☑ Connect to STC Network

• Connect to STC Secure Wi-Fi (have to be on campus)
